On 03/20/2023, Officers with the Newberry Township Police gained information about drug sales occurring within Newberry Township, Red Land High School, and other nearby communities. Furthermore, it was learned that these drug sales may have been the cause of a recent student overdose which occurred at Red Land High School.

On 03/21/2023, Officers from the Newberry Township police executed a search warrant, seizing a loaded firearm being possessed by a minor, nearly $10,000 in US currency, and approximately $10,000 worth of controlled substances.

The work performed by our officers in this investigation furthermore shows the commitment that Newberry Township Police has to keep our schools and communities safe. All persons affecting the safety of our children will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
