The Patrol Division is largest and most visible division of the Newberry Township Police Department. It is comprised of 13 uniformed officers, including 4 sergeants and 9 patrolmen. The officers assigned to the patrol division are the “front line” of our agency working 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Officers assigned to the patrol division work rotating 12 hour shifts which run from either 0600-1800 hours or 1800-0600 hours.

Patrol officers continuously and proactively patrol the Township and respond directly to the public's calls for service. They are directly responsible for the protection of life and property, prevention of criminal activity, preliminary investigation of offenses reported by the public, apprehension of criminal offenders, investigation of traffic accidents and enforcement of Pennsylvania vehicle and criminal statutes.
