Newberry Township Police would like to extend a big thank you to, Jay, owner of Don Levy’s Auto Service for his helping hand. During heavy snow conditions, Officer Bloom and Newberry Township EMS were attempting to reach a patient with a medical emergency. A 200 yard driveway covered in snow was preventing our ambulance from reaching the residence. Officer Bloom reached out to Jay for assistance and escorted him back to the scene. Within minutes, Jay utilized his plow truck to clear the entire driveway, allowing first responders to reach the patient. We thank you for your dedication to our community and this selfless act.
