At 5:47 pm the Fairview Township Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a two vehicle traffic crash in the 1000 block of Lewisberry Road. 

The crash involved a sedan and a large SUV which were involved in a head-on collision.  Evidence at the scene indicated that one vehicle crossed the double yellow lines prior to impact.  Lewisberry Road was closed for several hours due to the crash.

One person died and two suffered injuries as a result of this crash.  The name of the deceased is being withheld pending contact with next of kin.

The investigation into this crash is ongoing.
