Jason C. Loper, Chief of Police

Welcome to the Fairview Township Police Department’s updated website, which is part of the CRIMEWATCH Network. This site was created to improve communication and information sharing with our residents on police department matters. Working in partnership with the community we can proactively prevent crime, support victim recovery and hold offenders accountable. I hope you find this updated site informative and helpful and we ask that you use the information found on this site responsibly.

Our Department motto is “Dedicated to Service”, which I feel is very fitting. You will find that our police officers and civilian staff treat people equally and fairly, while respecting everyone’s constitutional rights. We strive to enhance the quality of life of our citizens through the delivery of professional law enforcement and public safety services. Our primary goals are to maintain order, protect life and property, and reduce the fear of crime to our residents and visitors.

I have been honored to serve as a police officer to the citizens of Fairview Township since 1994, and have held the top position of within the agency since November, 2012. I have publically stated many times that Fairview Township is a wonderful community and we have fantastic residents. They have always been very supportive of the police department, and we in turn try to provide the best service to them that we can. While we have overcome obstacles in the past and still have other challenges that lay ahead, I promise that I will do everything in my power to make Fairview Township the best police department it can be. I am very proud of my officers and staff, and feel they serve our community with honor, respect, and integrity.

The Fairview Township Police Department was one of the first state-accredited law enforcement agencies in Pennsylvania, and we continue to maintain our accreditation status in order to provide a professional level of police service. I pride ourselves as being a community-friendly agency, whether it is through my officers being in the schools teaching the TEAM (Teaching, Educating, And Mentoring) program, providing tours or giving other presentations to various community organizations, or checking on your home while you are away.

This website is one way we are trying to improve community interaction. It allows you to sign up for notifications when new posts are made. If you would like to be kept informed of what is going in your police department please consider doing that. We  encourage you to follow us on Facebook and Twittter as well. Finally, you can also get up to date information on what is going on within this department and others within the Crimewatch network by downloading the Crimewatch app to your smartphone.

Our department can only be as strong as the support we receive from the people we serve, and I am a firm believer in communicating with our community. If you ever have a question, concern or comment, please do not hesitate to contact me.
