The York County Regional Police Department would like to see everyone have a safe and happy Independence Day weekend. We would like to remind the residents of our jurisdictions to be mindful of local ordinances and the PA Law regarding the use of consumer fireworks. Be courteous to your neighbors and the person igniting the fireworks may be held both civil and criminally liable for violating the law and any damages that may occur as a result of igniting fireworks. As a final reminder, never participate in the igniting of fireworks while under the influence of alcohol, controlled substances or prescription drugs. Have a safe 4th of July.
