Over the last few months, the Carroll Township Police Department has taken multiple reports of vandalism at the Dillsburg Community Park and the newly constructed Dillsburg Borough Building on S. Chestnut St. While we have increased our patrols and visibility at these locations, we are asking for the communities help. If you see any suspicious activity or vandalism occurring, please dial 911 immediately to have an officer respond.
Recently one of our officers attended a certification course to be able to provide child car seat installation services to our residents. The course covered the installation of and safety recommendations of child car seats. If you would like assistance in the installation of your child's car seat please reach out to Ofc. Lohr at mlohr@carrollpd.org, or you can leave him a voice message at 717-432-3317 Ext. 110.
Let’s talk about Crypto (Crypto-Currency)
With the rapidly growing sector of Crypto, we wanted to take a moment to talk about this emerging technology, scams and things you can do to protect yourself and the assets that you choose to buy, should you buy them.
First off, what is Crypto or Crypto-Currency:
Did you know you can register your home surveillance camera with us? By doing this and letting us know, you can help us to solve crimes faster and help your community. When you register your camera, all of your information is not publicized and is kept internally. We cannot access your cameras, it only lets us know that you have them.
Our department has received numerous reports of fraudulent unemployment claims being filed in victims names. Along with many other scams and fraudulent activity that may occur online, we would like to provide some tips to be able to safeguard yourself.
1. Be cautious and alert to suspicious emails received from unknown senders. Do not click on links that are contained in the emails or links that may be contained in text messages from unknown numbers.
Welcome to Carroll Township Police Department's web portal on the CRIMEWATCH Network. We ask that you use the information found on this site responsibly. Working in partnership with the community we can proactively prevent crime, support victim recovery and hold offenders accountable.
