It is with a heavy heart that the Carroll Township Police Department announces the passing of retired Officer Ronald Stiles. Ofc. Stiles served with the Carroll Township Police Department from July 2003 until August, 2015.  During his 12 years with Carroll Township he received numerous service awards and commendations. In 2009, Ofc. Stiles received the Carroll Township Police Department Officer of the Year Award.  Ofc. Stiles took great pride in teaching the D.A.R.E. program to the students in the Northern York County School District.  Prior to his time with the Carroll Township Police Department, he was an officer with the Latimore Twp/York Springs Police Department in Adams County. He had a combined law enforcement career of over 30 years of service.  Prior to his law enforcement career, Ofc. Stiles served in the US Army.

We know many of our residents loved Ofc. Stiles for his humor and personality.  He will be greatly missed by many.
