Shop With A Cop 2022

On Saturday, December 3, 2022, the Lower Windsor Township Police Officers Association (LWTPOA) conducted our annual SHOP WITH A COP event, where we took 16 of our local kids Christmas shopping! The day started off with a breakfast and then the kids and parent/guardian got to ride in a school bus from the police station to Target, where they each received money to spend on gifts. This year over $7,000 was donated and distributed to each child who participated. Once the shopping was completed, they loaded back on the bus and returned to the Police Station for wrapping and a luncheon.

The LWTPOA would like to thank the volunteers that made this event such a success! We would like to give a HUGE thank you to Becky Buser, Ann Yingst, Dianne Eveler. These ladies donated and provided breakfast, as well as helped wrapped gifts. Other volunteers were Nicole Leiphart, Kim Godfrey and Sandi Stauffer ~ we can never have too many wrappers.

A shout out to BIG BOB’S BBQ who provided lunch for all the participants and volunteers – thank you so much!

EASTERN YORK RECREATION AUTHORITY donated all the water, soda and Gatorade – thank you!

This program is 100% donation funded and we’d like to recognize all of the businesses that once again made this possible:

  1. East Prospect Lions Club

  2. Yorkana Game & Gun Club Inc.

  3. Kohler & Kohler

  4. Republic Services, Inc.

  5. Big Bob’s BBQ

  6. Eastern York Recreation Authority

  7. MTO Battery

Several individual donations were received as well, and we truly appreciate all the monetary support that makes this program possible.

Without the support of volunteers and sponsors, this program would not be possible. Thank you so much to our great community for making this event possible once again!
