On 10-19-2021at 9:39pm, the LWTPD responded to the 1400 block of Snyder Corner Rd for a missing person. After speaking to relatives it was determined that a relative was not there and possibly had gone hunting in the AM hours. A search was done of the farm and fields and the person was located . The subject had fallen out of a tree stand earlier that day.  He was taken to York Hospital for treatment of a broken leg.

Reminder to all Hunters: If you are hunting from a tree stand follow the following rules:

1) Let someone know exactly where your tree stand is located. Draw a map is needed.  

2) Let someone know when you will begin hunting and when you will be done.  Call them when you are done so they know you  are OK and returned safely. 

3)  Take your cell phone with you so you can call or text someone if you are injured.

4) If possible take a first aid kit with you.
