On 10/28/21, LWTPD was dispatched to a phone assignment for found property.  A passerby had found a money bag at the intersection of Edgewood Road and East Prospect Road.  The bag contained a large amount of U.S. currency, credit cards, keys and a checkbook in the name of Pizza Town USA.  The passerby and LWTPD officer met at the Pizza Town Restaurant at 50 W. Maple St., East Prospect.  The restaurant was closed but contact was made with the Restaurant owner and he responded to the location.  Restaurant owner was very happy to have the bag back.  These acts of kindness mean so much to people and LWTPD would like to thank the Good Samaritan for returning the bag and its contents to its rightful owner.
