On March 24, 2021 at 0745 hrs a 16 year old female student at the high school left her assigned classroom area and entered other classroom areas without permission. She also used sanitizer spray in an inappropriate manner, spraying it at or in the direction of other students. One student was evaluated by the school nurse. Administrative staff intervened, and the student was removed from the building. The matter has been referred to the Lower Windsor Township School Resource Officer for investigation. We will consult with the York County District Attorney’s Office upon completion of the investigation for advice on possible charges.

This remains an open and active investigation. The District will impose appropriate consequences on the female student consistent with Board Policies and the Student Code of Conduct. As this is a confidential student discipline matter, Eastern York School District is unable to provide any additional details at this time. The safety of our students and staff remains the number one priority of the school district.
