Southern Regional Police Department, York County, Pennsylvania is seeking a highly motivated and qualified applicant for the position of Police Officer.

Required Initial Qualifications:
- Officers, at the time of their appointment, must be at least 21 years of age.
- Applicants considered for employment must be of good moral character.
- Applicants must be physically and psychologically able to perform the duties of the position of police officer, as per the job description.
- Officers, at the time of their appointment, must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Applicants must possess visual acuity acceptable for performing all functions and responsibilities of a Police Officer (MPOETC Standards).
- Applicants must possess a diploma from an accredited high school or graduate equivalency diploma.
- Applicants must pass a background investigation, polygraph examination, physical agility, medical and psychological evaluation and credit check.
- Applicants must have graduated, or currently be attending a basic police academy Act-120 with a graduation date before July 2022 (or certified officer out of state with eligibility for out of state waiver) See link below for out of state waiver information

- Applicants must be a United States citizen.
- Applicants may not have any disqualifying criminal offense as defined by MPOETC under Title 37 §203.1.
- Department regulations requires 25-mile residency requirement to be met within 6 months after hire date.
