Intersection Restrictions go into Effect Monday, 2/6/2023

RIGHT TURN ONLY restrictions will go into effect on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the following locations:

- E. Walnut Street at York Street between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm, Monday-Friday

- Franklin Street at Frederick Street between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm, Monday-Friday

- Walnut Street at Baltimore Street between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm, Sunday-Saturday

The restrictions came about following traffic studies at these locations and the Hanover Borough Council passing an ordinance enacting the restrictions.  The purpose of the restrictions are to reduce the number of traffic crashes and related injuries as a result of drivers attempting to turn at, or cross, these intersections during peak traffic hours.  The police department will be conducting enforcement details to monitor compliance with the new restrictions.
