For years America’s 911 Foundation goals has been to remember the events of September 11th and to support First Responders throughout the country by providing funds, manpower, and resources. This support has included donations to Fire Departments for better equipment, scholarships for First Responders’ children, a motorcycle raffle, and much much more. Additionally, every year they complete a motorcycle ride that goes from Shanksville, to the Pentagon, and then on to New York in memory of all those who lost their lives on September 11th.
The York City Police Department Motorcycle Unit has been a part of this memorial ride as an escort for more than 5 years. In working with this foundation, the York City Police Department entered the raffle to win the motorcycle they donate annually. It is with great enthusiasm the York City Police Department announces that they are the winners of this year’s raffle and will be selected to receive the motorcycle from America’s 911 Foundation.
The presentation of this motorcycle will be on December 7th, 2019 at 11:00 AM on the front steps of the York City Police Station at 50 W. King St York PA, 17405.
A special THANK YOU to America’s 911 Foundation for their generous gift and ongoing dedication to remember the victims of September 11th and first responders. To find out more about this foundation you may check their website at https://www.americas911foundation.org/
