York City PD Arrest Two For Gun Possession
Arrest
On November 25th , 2020, a York City detective in an unmarked vehicle observed Devin Aleman (pictured) waving a handgun around in the air in the area of Jefferson and Juniper St. Officers responded to the area and Aleman fled on foot. While fleeing, Aleman threw the handgun which was quickly recovered. During the investigation, two other individuals, one of whom was Miguel Ortiz (not pictured), walked towards the officers. Officer Thompson noticed a handgun in Ortiz’s front jacket pocket and immediately took him into custody. A black .357 revolver was removed from his pocket. Both were transported to central booking for arraignment.
Charges
Devin Aleman was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of firearm prohibited
- Firearms not to be carried without a license
- Flight to avoid apprehension
Miguel Ortiz was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of firearm prohibited
- Firearms not to be carried without a license
