On September 23, 2019 the York City Police Department, in conjunction with the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, York County QRT, and York County Sheriff’s Office arrested Shannon Ritter 27, of York in the 300 block of Lexington Ave. Ritter had four (4) outstanding warrants. One was for an incident in Northern York County Regional Police Department and included a charge for Felons Not to Possess a Firearm. Three other warrants were for Parole Violations and a Domestics Bench Warrant. Ritter was taken into custody without incident and a search warrant was then obtained for the house where he was arrested. During the search of this house a firearm (9mm Beretta Pistol) was discovered along with marijuana, and items that are commonly used in the distribution of marijuana. A search on the Firearm was then completed, and this pistol was determined to have been stolen. Ritter was additionally charged with Felons not to Possess a Firearm, Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm), and Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana.
