Investigation Update
First, we are so thankful no one was critically hurt (over the past two days).
At this point, after outstanding work from our team (both Enforcement and Outreach), we want the community to know where we're at:
These incidents were localized, they appear to be linked, and there's no specific threat to the public (as a whole).
We have one outstanding actor, otherwise we've identified and/or connected with everyone involved in the recent incidents... and the appropriate charges will be forthcoming for those individuals.
With that said, we are grateful for the level of cooperation we've received from the community, I am personally thankful for the ever-increasing willingness to be accountable our young people are really starting to show, and I'm proud as investigations and responses like these continue to demonstrate the power of relationship.
Tempers flair, and bad things are going to happen when you're dealing with people; but, it's how we respond and what we do afterwards that truly decides whether a community gets better... And I believe, the past 48hrs shows everyone exactly where our community is at... We are a community working together, and committed to being BETTER than we were yesterday!
Update (9/4/25) - Attempted homicide charges have been filed in relation to the shooting on September 3rd, 2025.
