A GREAT STORY FOR THE HOLIDAYS

York City Police Officers routinely volunteer their time for many different events from St. Baldricks, the United Way, to Special Olympics.  Yesterday, on Thanksgiving morning, York City School Police and other police agencies including the York City Police Department worked to provide as many meals for their community as possible.  Students, Police Officers, and community members worked together to provide nearly 1200 meals for members of their local community.  It's a real pleasure to see so many people work together to help those who did not have the resources to enjoy Thanksgiving.  This program was set up and is run by the York City School Police and has been going on for the last several years.  Kudos to everyone involved in this event.  If you have questions, are interested in making donations, or even in volunteering in next years event contact the York City School Police at (717) 825-8079.
