According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, over the past 10 years, more than 12,000 people have died in crashes throughout Pennsylvania. Wave One of the PennDOT-funded 2019-2020 Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Program (PA ADEEP) runs from October 21 through November 17, 2019. More than 200 municipal police departments along with the Pennsylvania State Police will participate in this enforcement effort statewide.
Law Enforcement agencies will concentrate on roadways that are known to have a high number of aggressive driving crashes and will be specifically on the lookout for aggressive driving behaviors including: school bus violations, speeding, following too closely, running red lights, and Steer Clear law Violations.
