On November 10th, 2019 at approximately 7:56 PM the York City Police Department responded to the 700 block of E. Prospect St for a shooting.  During their investigation they discovered a 33-year-old York man, Frederick Edwards IV had been shot in the arm at that location.  He was then transported by personal vehicle to York Hospital for treatment.  Initially while Edwards was being treated at the hospital, police could only obtain basic information about the incident.  However, Detectives were able to interview Edwards at a later time and he relayed that he was shot during a robbery and his vehicle was stolen.  York City Police later recovered his vehicle unoccupied in the early morning hours of November 12, 2019 and are processing it for evidence.  Edwards is currently listed in stable condition. 

No arrests have been made at this time and Detectives are still investigating.  Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the York City Police Department in any of the following ways. Tips can always be anonymous.
