On December 22nd, 2019 at approximately 8:03 PM the York City Police responded to the 300 block of W. Cottage Place to speak to the victim of a shooting. Once on scene they spoke with the victim, Chad Miller, 40 of Etters and other witnesses. The victim states that shortly before calling police he was with his stepdaughter and other family members in the 200 block of E. College Ave. The victim's stepdaughter had been arguing with the father of her child prior to Miller's arrival. After Miller arrived another argument began with others on scene. Miller and his family members left the area after the argument and as they drove away Miller was struck by a single gunshot in his arm. He then drove to the 300 block of W. Cottage Pl where he called police. Miller was then taken to York Hospital where he is being treated. He is considered in stable condition. Police believe Miller was targeted in this incident and are still investigating. No arrests have been made at this time.
