On December 12th, 2019 at approximately 5:01 PM the York City Police Department responded to the 400 block of W. College Ave for the report of a shooting. This shooting caused the death of one 17-year-old female, Emily Shoemaker of Dover, and injured two other male juveniles.  One of those male juveniles was also shot, and the other male juvenile was injured during an accident that occurred after the shooting.

York City Police began investigating this incident and during the course of their investigation it was discovered that a Daiquan Dickerson, 18 of Red Lion, was involved in this shooting.  A warrant was obtained for his arrest for Criminal Homicide, Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Homicide, and Criminal Attempt Homicide (2 Counts).  Also involved was a Sterling Frantz, 20, of York, who was charged with Criminal Homicide and Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Homicide.  He was arraigned and committed to York County Prison with no bail. 

On December 21^st, 2019 at about 1:35 PM the US Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force along with officers from the York City Police Department, York County District Attorney’s Office, Pennsylvania State Police, and Northern York County Regional Police Department arrested Daiquan Dickerson without incident at a hotel in the 300 block of Arsenal Road. 

During the shooting Dickerson and Frantz were believed to be driving a grey 2016 Nissan Altima bearing PA registration KZL-6143.  This vehicle belongs to a Caylah Webb, 21, of Lancaster who was also charged with Hindering Apprehension, Obstruction of Justice, and Tampering with Evidence in relation to this case. Police are still searching for this vehicle that was used in the shooting.
