On September 24th, 2019 at approximately 2:13 PM the York City Police responded to the 200 block of Kurtz Ave for the report of a shots fired.  Once on scene Officers spoke with the victim and witnesses and were able to identify Jervin Perez, 19, of York as the shooter.  The victim was a 28-year-old female from York, who had been shot in the legs.  One shot fractured her femur. 

Prior to the shooting the victim had been walking down the street by her house when she was approached by Perez and 3 other suspects.  Two of the other individuals were Diante Farrell, 17, of York and Kareem Williams 15, of York.  Farrell, Williams, and a third subject “boxed in” the victim and stopped her from having any kind of escape route. 

Perez then walked in front of her, turned around, pulled out a firearm, and began shooting at her from approximately 5-10 feet away.  All these subjects then fled in the same direction together. 

Kareem Williams was charged as an adult for Criminal Attempt Homicide and Aggravated Assault.  He was arrested on October 4, 2019 without incident. 

A warrant was obtained almost immediately for Perez for Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, and Persons not to possess a firearm.  Perez is described as a Hispanic male 19 years of age 5’9” 130 pounds.  Police are still seeking assistance in locating him.

Diante Farrell was charged as an adult also for Criminal Attempt Homicide and Aggravated Assault.  He is described as a black male approximately 5’1” 100 pounds.  Police are still seeking assistance in locating him.
