Arrest in Attempted Car Robbery



On October 7th, 2019 at approximately 5:08 PM the York City Police Department was called to the 200 block of Willis Road for a report of an attempted car robbery.  Officers spoke with a victim.   The victim states he was in his car at this location when he was approached by two males one of which began talking to him.  As they were talking, the second male, identified as Kevin Hamilton, 18, of East York, approached the victim’s car with a gun, pointed it at the victim, and demanded he turn it over.  Victim was able to drive away but as he was doing so, Hamilton struck the back of the car with the gun, damaging it. 

Police were called and began investigating immediately.  Surveillance video was obtained which identified Hamilton as one of the suspects.  Police obtained a warrant for him for Robbery and other offenses that are associated with this incident.  Hamilton was then arrested at approximately 4:45 PM on October 8, 2019 in the area of Lincoln and Beaver St.

The second suspect has yet to be identified.  Anyone with information contact the York City Police Department.
