Yesterday (6/8/2022) just prior to midnight, individuals armed with firearms and wearing ski masks and latex gloves entered the Turkey Hill at 1500 W. Market Street in the Borough. After pushing one employee to the ground and brandishing a handgun at another employee, they demanded cash and, upon receiving it, fled the store.
West York Officers Hehnly & Perez immediately responded to the store, and were assisted by West Manchester Police and York City PD Officers. After a description of the suspects were obtained, Police were able to almost immediately locate a vehicle containing four (4) individuals from Lancaster City (who matched the description) on Dewey Street at W. Princess St. The individuals in this vehicle were detained, and a firearm, cash from the robbery, latex exam gloves, and clothing worn during the robbery (including ski masks) were recovered.
WYBPD has charged the following individuals with numerous offenses, including Robbery Conspiracy and firearms charges:
- Nazir Coste-Alcantara (19 y/o) of 305 S. Ann St. Lancaster, PA
- Luis De La Rosa-Ozoria (21 y/o) of 26 S. Ann St. Lancaster, PA
- Leonel Del Rosario (22 y/o) of 541 Rockland St. Lancaster, PA
- Lerwan Vazques-Suarez (16 y/o charged as adult) of 715 E. Fulton St. Lancaster, PA
These individuals were taken to York County Central Booking for preliminary arraignment.
Fortunately, none of the Turkey Hill employees were seriously injured and all are safe.
As a reminder, WYBPD will always aggressively pursue violent criminal acts and firearms related violence occurring in the Borough, as was illustrated to the four defendants in this case.
We would like to thank our partner agencies, West Manchester Township & the City of York Police for their very valuable assistance.
