On Wed. January 15, 2020, West York Borough Police conducted a surveillance & sting operation on an individual who had been identified as a drug dealer. Around 12:15 pm, this suspect (who was a juvenile) did deliver an amount of drugs to another individual. As police officers closed in to arrest him, the suspect fled and a brief foot pursuit followed. Officers were able to apprehend and control the offender. This 17 y/o suspect was ultimately transferred to the custody of York Co. Juvenile Probation.
Shortly thereafter, a search warrant was executed in the suspects house. This resulted in the finding of additional drug paraphernalia, as well as a wanted felon hiding behind a mattress in the basement. Daniel Reyes, an adult offender, had multiple outstanding felony warrants and was taken into custody and transported to Central Booking. He was arraigned and incarcerated at York County Prison.
