Based on responses received from the public overnight, The West York Police did, this morning, with the assistance of the York City Police & York County DA’s Office take into custody a suspect related to the rape that had occurred in West York on Tuesday.

After further developing the investigation, we are announcing that this afternoon, we filed charges against D'angelo Manns (23) of No Fixed Address, York, and that he is in police custody at the Central Booking Center of the Sheriff's Office.

Manns has been charged with multiple felony offenses, including Rape, Involuntary Deviant Sexual Intercourse, Aggravated Indecent Assault, Burglary, Terroristic Threats, and other offenses. Charging decisions were based on consultation with the York County District Attorney’s Office Special Crimes Unit.

We are relieved to report that this individual is off the street & no longer a threat.  We would again like to thank the public for the outpouring of information which was readily shared with us based upon our request.
