On 06/04/2022, at 0958 hours, police were dispatched to the 900 block of York St for a 2-month-old male in cardiac arrest. This is the type of call that hits all first responders like a punch in the gut. Being first to the scene, Ofc Mike Smith’s immediate actions led to a positive outcome for this little guy. Ofc Smith was assisted by members of the Hanover Area Fire and Rescue.  They all worked together as a team and gave this child a fighting chance. Today we are happy to report he is doing great. We would like to thank all the first responders for turning this into an awesome outcome and would like to recognize Ofc Mike Smith for a job well done.
