National Night Out 2022

Tomorrow, August 2, 2022 is the National Night Out event. It will be in front of Pet Smart, 181 Wilson Avenue Hanover, PA 17331 from 6-8 p.m. The free event is a national community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. This event will be held by Penn Township Police Department, Hanover Borough Police Department, West Manheim Township Police Department and Conewago Township Police Department jointly.

There will be free food, drinks, music, games, and an opportunity to meet with emergency responders (police, fire and EMS). The event is completely free to attend! Before the end of the event, there will be a bicycle raffle for twenty bicycles. You must be present to win. The raffle usually starts around 7:45 p.m. The rules for the bicycle raffle are:

• Anyone child ages fourteen (14) and under may enter to win.
• Each child gets one (1) ticket to put towards the bicycle of their choice.
• All tickets must be placed in the respective plastic container by 7:30 p.m. to be considered for the prize.
• At 7:45 p.m. the raffle will begin in front of the DJ booth (corner of US Renal Care) and the winning tickets will be called.
• Numbers will be called out three (3) times. If you do not claim your bicycle after the number is called for the third time, you will forfeit your prize and the next ticket will be called.
• You MUST be present at the time of time of the drawing and present your ticket in order to claim your prize.

** Reminder to all parents and children. PA Sate law required children twelve years and younger to wear a bicycle helmet. **
