On November 7th, 2019 at approximately 6:32 pm The York City Police Department responded to 600 Block of Wallace St. for a report of a shooting. Once on scene they discovered one adult male victim.  Victim was transported to York Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.  An update to this release will be put out on Friday November 8th at 11:00 AM. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the York City Police Department in any of the following ways. Tips can always be anonymous.

On October 20, 2019 a water main broke in the 200 block of E Market St.  Residents please move vehicles and use caution. York Water has been notified and is working on this. For motorists, traffic will be rerouted for an indefinite period of time so delays are likely. 

On September 22nd, 2019 at approximately 2:01 am The York City Police Department responded to 512 N George St for a report of a shooting. Once on scene they discovered one adult male who was deceased and that a second adult male had been taken by personal vehicle to York Hospital. The second male is in critical condition. There have been no arrests at this time. An update to this release will be put out on Monday September 23rd at 11:00 AM.

On September 11, 2019 at approximately 8:33 PM the York City Police Department responded to the 500 block of W Princess St for a report of a shooting. Once on scene they discovered two adult male victims.  Both were transported to York Hospital and both were later pronounced dead.   

On September 6th, 2019 at approximately 0051 hrs the York City Police Department responded to the 100 block of N. Pine St for a report of a shooting. Once there they discovered one adult male who had been shot and passed away.  An update to this information will be available on September 6th at 11:00 am.

York City Police recently requested help from the public in locating an 11 year old runaway.  Due to tips and the hard work of Officers this young lady was found and returned home safely.  Thank you everyone for your help. 

York City Police is asking for assistance in locating an 11 year old runaway, Ka’liyah Redman. Redman ran away from her home on September 2, 2019. Redman is described as a light skinned black female approximately 5’02” 130 pounds. Redman was last seen in the west end of York City. Anyone with information about this runaway is encouraged to contact the York City Police Department
