Police Arrest 2, 1 With A Gun, During A Traffic Stop.

On 9/24/21, York City Police's GVI unit attempted to stop a motor vehicle for traffic violations in the Parkway area. The vehicle fled from police and the occupants fled on foot. Officers were able to take both occupants from the vehicle into custody, and through further investigation, a large quantity of narcotics were recovered. With the assistance of Southern Regional PD's K-9, Ransom, officers were able to locate a loaded 9mm handgun that the driver threw while fleeing on foot. 

The driver of the vehicle was charged with felony weapons and drug charges. The passenger, who had a felony warrant, was charged with felony drug charges.
