A klutz burglar was captured on surveillance breaking into the Rutter's Store in Jacobus on May 29th. The suspect(s) started stealing cigarettes then became afraid of something and ran. One suspect was so afraid that they tripped causing their cigarettes to scatter all over the floor.

On May 26th a tan 2006 Toyota Corolla was stolen from Maplewood Drive in York Township. The PA Registration is KFW7374. Other unlocked cars in the area were entered and rummaged through.

Sometime leading up to May 27th someone stole $6,200. worth of plywood and 2x4s which were stacked outside for a construction project on Jutland Way in York Township.

A car was left unlocked overnight on Queenswood Drive in York Township. In the morning of May 24th the owner found that someone had been in the car, scattered the contents all over the floor and stole a pink stun gun.

On May 4th at 3pm a man was found sleeping on a picnic table near the bank on Course Road in York Township. He caused concern because he was carrying martial arts sticks and throwing knives prior to his nap.

Case Status:

On May 14th at 3:20pm the bed of a truck caught fire while the driver was on S. Queen at Leader Heights Road. He believes a cigarette ash got into his golf bag which was in the bed of the truck. The fire department extinguished the fire.

Incident Type:

On May 11th between 7am and 1pm someone stole a blue and grey mountain bike from a residence on the first block of E. Maple St. in Dallastown. Both tires were flat.

Case Status:

On May 12th a resident of Stabley Lane in Windsor Township reported that someone had shot her cat with a .22 caliber bullet. The cat was taken to the vet but we don't know if it survived. Gunshots were reported in the area.

On March 28th at 5:30pm a large tree fell on two residences on Crestview Drive causing severe damage and trapping two people inside. The responding police officer saw that the back door had been screwed shut. The officer was able to unscrew the door and assist the occupants to get out to safety.
