On 2/24/2019 there was a shooting incident with multiple shots fired in the "Avenues" Section of York City. Upon investigation, a radio broadcast was transmitted to all units describing a vehicle that was to be involved in the shooting.
At 11:40 p.m., while vigilantly patrolling the Borough streets, Lt. Kahley observed the vehicle described to be travelling in West York on Market Street. Lt. Kahley, assisted by Ptlm. Jon Hehnly conducted a "Felony Stop" on the vehicle. At this time, they identified that this was the vehicle due to multiple gunshot holes in it - despite the fact that the driver initially stated that he "Didn't know anything about any shootings."
York City Police responded & impounded the vehicle which was found to contain additional evidence.
The driver was subject to further investigation by York City, and was charged by our agency for Driving Without a License.
