Members of the West Manchester Township Police Department are investigating a serious vehicle crash that occurred in the 500 block of Hanover Road on September 8, 2022 at about 6:46 pm.

The investigation so far has revealed that a green Toyota Corolla operated by a 47 year old Hanover area woman was travelling west on Hanover Road.  The Toyota crossed the center line and struck an orange Jeep Wrangler that was travelling east, and was being operated by a 28 year old Spring Grove area woman.

Both drivers, a 9 year old female passenger in the Toyota, and an 11 year old female passenger in the Toyota were injured and transported to area hospitals for treatment.  Several of the injuries were serious.

Police will be on scene investigating for several more hours, and the roadway will be closed during this time.   We ask that motorists find an alternate route and avoid the area if possible.

We thank West Manchester Township Fire Department, Nashville Volunteer Fire Department, North Codorus Township Fire Company, Friendship Hose Company #1, First Capital EMS, Dover Area Ambulance, Spring Grove Area Ambulance, and all first responders that assisted at the scene.
