On April 26, 2019 at 1317 hours, an Officer from the West Manchester Township Police Department was dispatched to Kohls at 200 Town Center Drive for an adult female in custody for retail theft.
The Officer responded to the store and made contact with the Loss Prevention Officer. The LPO advised he was watching a white female later identified as Kim Rene Sears. The LPO advised Sears was selecting numerous items of clothing held for sale by Kohls. The LPO stated Sears had a large floral handbag with her while she was present in the store. The LPO stated he witnessed Sears enter the fitting room with the clothing in her possession, Sears then exited the fitting room shortly thereafter without the clothing in her possession. The LPO advised this sequence took place on two occasions. The LPO stated Sears then proceeded to the front of the store where she made a purchase of socks, she then exited the store without paying for the merchandise concealed in the handbag.
The LPO stopped Sears and brought her back to the loss prevention office. The LPO recovered the merchandise from Sears's handbag. The total value of the merchandise was $387.19. Sears was placed under arrest by the Officer.
Based on the above information, Kim Rene Sears was charged with one count of Retail Theft.
