On 6/6/2019 at approximately 1651 hours, an Officer from the West Manchester Township Police Department responded to the Route 30 east bound off ramp at Carlisle Road for three vehicles that had boxed a driver in that was swerving all over and seen drinking a bottle of vodka.
All three people said they witnessed a light blue Oldsmobile Cutlass bearing a PA registration, swerving all over the road and drinking out of a clear bottle in the area of Hanover Road and Route 30. A witness stated he pulled up beside her and saw the clear bottle and said it was a vodka bottle. The female driver proceeded to throw the bottle out the window in the area of Sheetz on Route 30. All witnesses followed the vehicle east on Route 30 where they were able to box the vehicle in on the off ramp to Carlisle Road. The witnesses were able to stop the car and take the keys out of the ignition prior to PD arrival.
The Officer spoke to the driver, later identified as Danna Marros, by her PA driver license. Marros was in the driver’s seat and was the only occupant of the vehicle. Marros had an odor of alcohol coming from her breath. Marros denied swerving all over the road and stated she did not have any alcohol to drink nor did she take any medications prior to driving. Marros had a thick slurred speech and her eyes were red and glassy. The Officer asked Marros to step out of the vehicle and to walk around her car to the shoulder of the road. Marros struggled to keep her balance and had to place her hand on her car so she did not fall over.
The Officer asked Marros if she would submit to a portable breath test. Marros attempted to blow into the PBT but failed to get a reading on the device.
Marros was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she refused. Marros then proceeded to call us several derogatory names and repeatedly said "F*** You".
Marros was then placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
Marros was placed in a patrol vehicle and was read her Miranda Rights. The Officer read the DL-26 implied consent form to Marros. Marros was then transported to York Hospital for a blood draw before being taken to Central Booking.
2 tubes of blood were drawn from Marros left arm at 1752 hours at York Hospital. The tubes were then sent to NMS labs for testing.
Based on the above information, Danna L. Marros was charged for 1 count of DUI.
