On 4/6/2019 at 1904 hours an Officer from the West Manchester Township Police Department was dispatched to Walmart, located at 1000 Town Center Drive in West Manchester Township, for a retail theft report that occurred overnight at 0241 hours.
On arrival, the Officer spoke to a Walmart Loss Prevention Officer. He advised that on 4/6/2019 at 0241 hours, a white male subject who was later identified as the Defendant, Donald Englehart entered the store empty handed. The Defendant went to the electronics department and selected various electronic merchandise (12 PS4 games, 9 Xbox games, blue ray player and transmitter). After selecting the merchandise and placing it into the cart, the Defendant went and selected black suitcase and concealed the merchandise inside. The Defendant then went to the lawn and garden department, unlocked the door leading to the front parking lot and left the store with the luggage. He was last spotted on camera walking north past the Walmart automotive center. Total value of the merchandise was $725.25. The LPO advised that this was the third time within recent weeks that the Defendant stole merchandise from the store. The LPO stated that he reported the previous thefts on 3/31/2019.
On 4/8/2019, the Officer received information from another Officer from WMTPD who stated that he may have identified the Defendant as Donald Englehart. The Officer was checking local pawn shop listings and saw that Donald Englehart had pawned a projector to York Buy Sell Trade. Due to the projector being a unique item and a projector and that a projector had been previously stolen during the other thefts, the Officer researched social media and JNET for Donald Englehart. Photos found of the subject from Facebook and Web CPIN from previous arrests showed that Englehart matched the actor from the thefts.
Based upon the information above, the Officer filed 1 count of F3 Retail Theft against Donald Englehart.
