Request to have your parking ticket reviewed to determine if the parking ticket was issue in error:

If you believe your ticket was issued in error please call (717)843-0851. Parking tickets shall only be dismissed if the Spring Garden Township Police Department determines that the ticket has been issued in error.

Even though you may dispute a policing ticket, there are many reasons why a parking ticket will not be dismissed. These reasons include:

  •     I was just there for a short time
  •     Lack of legal parking
  •     Lack of convenient parking space
  •     Time constraint (only a minute late)
  •     Lack of funds
  •     No one else got a ticket
  •     Did not see the sign
  •     The fine is too much
  •     I didn't intend to do it
  •     Unaware of the parking restriction
  •     Parked in the same area and never received a ticket before

Request a court date to contest a parking ticket:

Do not pay the ticket. Failure to respond within five (5) days will result in the parking violation being forwarded to the Magisterial District Justice where the higher prescribed state fine and fees will be assessed. A summons shall then be mailed to you. Follow the directions on the summons to request a court date.
