On Monday January 12, 2015 at approximately 3:22 PM, police were called to 554 W. Springettsbury Avenue by EMS personnel for a reported stabbing. EMS personnel had been dispatched to the home for a medical issue and upon arrival discovered two victims with lacerations from an apparent assault. Both subjects were transported to York Hospital for further medical treatment. The subjects were identified as brothers, Asasii Y. Sweeney, age 37, and Zebulun E. Sweeney, age 27, who reside at the residence.
As a result of the on-scene investigation and subsequent field interviews, police charged Asasii Y. Sweeney with assaulting his brother, Zebulun, in addition to other charges discovered as a result of the investigation.

Asasii Y. Sweeney was treated at York Hospital for his injuries and released. He was transported to York County Central Booking for arraignment and processing. Mr. Sweeney was arraigned before Judge Meisenhelter who set his bail at $50,000. He unable to post bail and was committed to the York County Prison.
The victim, Zebulun E. Sweeney, was admitted to York Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
