Heavy police presence in the area of Kise Kill Road and Sheepbridge Road. Burglary suspect described as a black or hispanic male wearing camouflage fled from police into a wooded area north of the iron bridge. As many hunters are entering the woods this morning, please use caution and notify police if the subject is encountered.
Trick or Treat will be held from 6-8 PM Tonight (10/24/2019) in Newberry Township. Those participating are reminded to travel in groups, carry a flashlight or other illumination device and travel on sidewalks were available. N.T.P.D. will have additional officers assigned to patrol for this event and will be making their way through the township to help keep our participants safe. A tree has fallen and is blocking both lanes of travel in the 2700 block of Old Trail Road. Fire Police are diverting traffic at Old Trail and York Haven Roads. Also at Old Trail and Sheep Bridge Roads. Crews are being dispatched to cut the tree from wires and to clear up the roadway. Please avoid the area and make necessary changes in travel for morning rush traffic.
NTPD is currently investigating a two vehicle collision involving a motorcycle that occurred on 5/27/19 around 5:50 PM in the area of Lewisberry Rd. and Old Trail Rd. Two riders on the motorcycle were transported to the hospital with significant injuries. The driver of the sedan received minor injuries. The roadway will be closed for several hours while officers reconstruct the scene.
