Spanglers Mill Road and Two Other Roads Have Reopened
December 3, 2018
On Friday, November 30 at 8:15 pm the Spanglers Mill Road bridge which carries traffic between York and Cumberland Counties reopened to vehicular traffic. The contractor has advised that traffic traversing the bridge will notice a "slight bump" when they travel over it. This bump will remain until the spring when the contractor will return and apply a polyester polymer concrete overlay that will serve to protect the bridge and reduce long-term maintenance costs. When the contractor returns to finish this project, they will be able to keep the bridge open and use an alternating traffic pattern.
Additionally, in the past week Andersontown Road and Wyndamere Road have both reopened. Wyndamere Road will be subject to additional work, however that contractor will be able to complete that additional work while the road remains open to traffic.
