Snow Emergency Declared

The snow emergency in Fairview Township has now been lifted.

In response to the pending winter storm threatening our area, Fairview Township has declared a snow emergency effective December 16, 2020 at 12:00 pm.  It will remain in effect until further notice.  As a result of this snow emergency, parking a motor vehicle on any and all streets or highways within the Township is prohibited.  It shall also be illegal to drive any motor vehicle on any street or highway within the township unless it is equipped with snow tires or chains.

The Fairview Township Police urges all residents to remain home during the storm and avoid any unnecessary travel.  Road conditions are expected to deteriorate rapidly making travel extremely hazardous.  Staying off the roads will allow the snow plow drivers to clear township roads more efficiently and allow police, fire, and ems crews to respond to emergencies within the Township more quickly and safely.
