Starting at 7 AM on Friday, October 26, Route 177 ( Wyndamere Road) will be closed to all traffic just east of the intersection with Yorktown Road and Industrial Drive in Fairview Township. The road closure will be in place for up to 30 days. Signed detours will direct motorists around the road closure located a short distance west of Interstate 83 Exit 35.
The road closure is necessary for the installation of storm water and sanitary sewer pipes. A contractor working for Goodman Logistics Center will excavate through rock under the roadway to a depth of about 14 feet, remove the existing deteriorating corrugated metal pipes, replace the metal pipes with plastic pipes, form inlet boxes, and rebuild the roadway. During the closure, various signed detours utilizing I-83, Yorktown Road and Route 262 (Old York Road) will be available for motorists.
