On July 9, 2018 at approximately 9:56 pm the Fairview Township Police Department was dispatched to the 100 block of Old York Road for a report of a physical domestic dispute. On arrival, police spoke to the victim and a witness. It was alleged that Quentin Stevens, of the 900 block of North 18th Street Harrisburg, assaulted the victim in a car by punching her in the side of her face and ripping her hair out. When the victim tried to exit the vehicle, Stevens allegedly grabbed the victim by the neck to pull her back into the car and then squeezed to the point that the victim could not breath. Police observed injury to the victim and other evidence in the car that supported the claims against Stevens.
Stevens was arrested and charged with Strangulation, Simple Assault and Harassment. He was transported to the York County Booking Center for arrest processing and arraignment. Stevens was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Douglas Meisenhelter and remanded to the York County Prison in lieu of $7,500 bail.
