On March 23, 2019 at 10:25 am, Fairview Township Police Officers were on foot patrol at a local motel off Limekiln Road when they saw a parked vehicle with the windows down and two occupants. There was an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. As the officers approached the car, it began to leave, but had to turn around at a dead-end. It then drove towards the officers at a high rate of speed, almost striking one of them. Officers obtained the vehicle registration and attempted to catch up to the fleeing car. The pursuit was terminated without stopping the vehicle, but additional investigation revealed the driver was 27-year old Justin David Fry of Coppenhaffer Road, York. He was charged with several criminal and traffic offenses. A preliminary hearing was scheduled on May 22nd in front of Magisterial District Judge Gross, and the case was waived into court.
