On December 27, 2017 at 3:42 pm the Fairview Township Police Department was dispatched to the 400 block of Centerview Avenue, New Cumberland for a third party report of a domestic dispute. Police arrived to find that 41 year old Jamie Cooper had assaulted her mother to the point her mother suffered a broken arm and fractured her hip. This was reported to have occurred at approximately 10:00 but the victim was unable to call for help. It was not until a third party arrived on scene that the victim's condition was discovered.
Cooper was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. She was transported to the York County Booking Center for arrest processing and arraignment. She was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Jennifer Clancy and remanded to the York County Prison in lieu of $30,000 bail. Cooper later posted bail and was released.
