The Fairview Township Police Department arrested 44-year old Robert Boyer of Oak Knoll Road, New Cumberland after a convenience store located in the 300 block of Lewisberry Road, New Cumberland called to report an intoxicated subject stumbling around the store and yelling at employees on April 21, 2019 at 12:29 am. The subject drove from the store prior to police arrival and got onto I-83 south. Police caught up to the subject as he was exiting the interstate at exit 38. The vehicle displayed a suspended registration. Upon stopping the car, the officer spoke to Boyer who was the driver. Boyer was highly intoxicated. He declined to perform field sobriety testing admitting that he was drunk.
Boyer was arrested and transported to the York County Booking Center for a blood test and arrest processing. That blood test showed he had a BAC of .311%. It also showed an impermissible level of Benzoylegonine, a metabolite of Cocaine.
