The Fairview Township Police Department arrested 38-year old Richard Agolia of Privet Drive, Etters following an incident on December 12, 2018. Agolia drove to Magisterial District Judge Gross' office for an unrelated matter. Police, who were also at the Judge's office, could smell a strong odor of marijuana throughout the waiting room area and were able to determine the source was Agolia. Further investigation revealed that Agolia was under the influence of marijuana and was subsequently arrested for DUI.
Police then obtained a search warrant for Agolia's vehicle and discovered he was in possession of a quantity of marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia.
Agolia was transported to UPMC Pinnacle Memorial Hospital in York for a blood test and then to the York County Booking Center for arrest processing. The blood test confirmed that Agolia had an impermissible level of THC in his system.
