During this time, we will provide our community with an update on the steps we are taking to protect our officers and community during the COVID-19 pandemic. On 03/19/20 at 937 p.m. York Area Regional officers responded to a DUI accident in the area of Delta Road and Smith Road within Windsor Township. The driver had struck two parked vehicles and two utility poles. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI and drug possession as well as other offenses. The roadway was quickly reopened with assistance from the fire department and local tow company.

UPDATE

March 18, 2020 10:00 am - S. Queen St. is re-opened after the vehicle crash has been removed from the structure.  

March 18, 2020 at 8:50 am, Officers were dispatched to a vehicle crash with entrapment into a structure on S. Queen St. near Fitzkee Lane within York Township.  

South Queen St. (State Route 74) is closed between West Crestlyn Drive and Cherry Street.  

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: The Police Department has enabled an online reporting option on our website, www.yapd.org, to report non-active crimes.  Once the report is submitted an officer will contact you to follow up with the online submission.  This site will not be monitored outside of regular business (8:00 am - 4:30 pm) hours and on the weekends so by submitting this form you will not be contacted until the following business day.

UPDATE

March 12, 2020 - 3:45 pm - Freysville Road in Windsor Township is re-opened for vehicular traffic.   

March 12, 2020 at 11:40 am Officers were dispatched to a rollover vehicle crash on Freysville Rd between Windsor Road and White Oak Road in Windsor Township.  

There is a structure fire in the area of the 1700 block of W. Market St. Please avoid the area.
